REQUIREMENTS
All Applicants must meet the following basic requirements to apply for apprenticeship with the Kern County Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of the application
- All applicants must provide a valid driver’s license or Government-Issued Identification
- All Applications must possess a High School graduation diploma or a GED at time of application
- All Applicants must have completed one of the following:
- A year of High School Algebra with a minimum grade of “C” (Pre Algebra doesn’t qualify)
- A semester of College Algebra with a minimum grade of “C”
- All Applicants must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- All Applicants must be physically able to perform all work of the electrical trade
- All Applicants must be available for the program, be generally employable and have reliable transportation
- When required an Application may be subject to a Drug Test and a Physical Examination
- All Applicants must immediately notify the Apprenticeship Office of any change in their address or telephone number
